What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis (Endo) is a chronic, highly inflammatory disease in which endometrial-like tissue is found outside of the uterus.
WHY SHOULD YOU HELP US END ENDO?
Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 yet has: no cure, ineffective treatment methods, is under-researched, and is consistently misdiagnosed, taking on average 7 - 11 years to properly diagnose. Coverage to excision surgery, and continued endometriosis related costs can be financially burdensome due to lack of insurance coverage and out of pocket costs.
Endometriosis has been found in the thoracic cavity and tract, abdominal wall and organs, urinary tract, bowels, pelvic walls, and reproductive organs. This includes muscular, vascular, and lymphatic systems throughout the body.
