HOW WE DO IT
We educate, empower and stay connected through awareness & education events, research initiatives, policy advocacy, and more.
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE PEER-REVIEWED MEDICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM
As consumer advocates for the Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program, sponsored by the Department of Defense (DOD), our board members have helped evaluate research applications to determine how the money appropriated by Congress to study endometriosis research should be dispersed. Our Fundraising & Partnerships Coordinator, Katie Whitson, served in the FY 2023 Peer Review Panel.
VIRTUAL PATIENT SUPPORT GROUPS
We are honored to be able to facilitate a space for endometriosis patients to meet virtually for support. The Endo Co Patient Support group meets the last Thursday of every month and explores topics such as acceptance, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and more.

POLICY ADVOCACY
As patient advocates, The Endo Co is dedicated to being part of initiatives to help drive political change for endometriosis. Our founder, Jenneh Rishe, serves as a member of The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) Endometriosis Working Group. SWHR’s Endometriosis Education Working Group includes interdisciplinary, inter-sector experts, including clinicians, researchers, policy thought leaders, and patients and patient advocates.
Below The Belt is a documentary about endometriosis by Director, Shannon Cohn and Executive Producers Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rosario Dawson, Corinne Foxx, and Mae Whitman.
Through the lens of four patients — including The Endo Co-Founder, Jenneh Rishe — urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms, the film exposes widespread problems in our healthcare systems. From societal taboos and gender bias to misinformed doctors and profit-driven healthcare, the film reveals how millions of people with endometriosis are effectively silenced.
SOCIAL IMPACT
One goal of the film is to ignite changes in US healthcare policy, an endeavor in which The Endo Co is directly involved in. At a screening for the US Senate in March of 2022, our founder, Jenneh Rishe, alongside several prominent endometriosis advocates, presented a 5- step endometriosis action plan for Congress to act on.
